At HonestBooth, privacy is our core foundation. We are built to allow people to ask questions and receive candid advice and feedback anonymously. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not publicize your identity alongside questions you choose to submit anonymously.

When you use HonestBooth, we may collect:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google or email, we receive your email address, basic profile name, and avatar URL provided by Google.
- Questions and Interactions: Content you submit through HonestBooth forms, feedback boards, or direct interactions.
- Technical Information: Device type, browser type, and general location/IP address strictly for security, spam prevention (via Cloudflare Turnstile), and service integrity.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the HonestBooth platform.
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
- Send essential transactional notifications (such as sign-in codes or responses to your inquiries).
- Prevent fraud, bot abuse, and malicious attacks.
4. Google User Data
HonestBooth’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only access standard profile information (email, profile, openid) to authenticate your account. We never request access to Google Drive, Gmail, or sensitive private scopes.
5. Data Security & Storage
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored in protected databases powered by Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS). We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide you with the service or until you request its deletion.
